WQHT (Hot 97) – New York – August 1990 – Howard Hoffman

High-energy radio at its finest! Includes a commercial voiced by a member of the Hot 97 Sales department.

WBBM-FM (B96) – Chicago – 1989 – José Solis

Chicago’s heritage from 1989 (most likely Fall or Winter). The station was seemingly in the process of evolving to full-fledged Rhythmic CHR at this time.

KHTN & KWIN/KWNN – Stockton/Modesto & Merced, CA – Early ’99

Sample sweepers from two small-market Rhythmic CHRs in North-Central California: KHTN “Hot 104.7” (Merced) and KWIN/KWNN “97.7 & 98.3 K-WIN” (Stockton/Modesto) . Voiced by Eric Edwards and the late Brian James, respectively.

KPSI (Power 100.5) – Palm Springs, CA – Summer 2000 – Dwayne Wayne

A sample of what was once the dominant CHR — “The Desert’s #1 Hit Music Station” — in Southern California’s Coachella Valley.  Includes some rather odd production elements (in terms of both content and placement.)
