This is a sample of the first of two attempts to make the Classic Hits format work on 96.9 FM in Phoenix. “96.9 K-Hits”, heard here, would change its name to “Eagle 96.9” a few months later but retain the same format. In September 1998,it became Hot AC as “Mix 96.9.”
