WPLJ Reunion Day Part 1: 9AM To 12PM

After 48 years 95.5 WPLJ New York was sold to Christian operator Educational Media Foundation and went out with a bang. Dedicating Thursday, May 30, 2019 to a reunion of former employees and friends of the station, the WPLJ Reunion was hosted by longtime station veterans Race Taylor and Joey Kramer. Starting at 9:00am, the station featured the 1979 Big Montage produced by Pat St. John and a TM Studios jingle montage.
The first three hours featured appearances from the following guests:
- iHeartMedia Director of Talent Development and former WPLJ evening host Tony Banks
- WABC-TV traffic reporter (and longtime WPLJ reporter) Heather O’Rourke
- Current New York market afternoon traffic reporter Alex Lee
- 1991-1999 morning news anchor Naomi D’Clementi
- Former morning show producer Joey B
- Former morning show producer Diana ‘Lady Di’ Ferrito
- Former night host Jaime Lee (now weekends at 106.7 WLTW)
- Former Rock era host Marc Coppola (now weekends at 104.3 WAXQ and 106.7 WLTW)
- Final Music Director/midday host Melony Torres
- Taylor’s former producer turned singer/songwriter Matt Suscich
- Former Research Director Marc ‘Mr. Music’ Hilsenrath
