107.5 WDBN - Power 108

WDBN (Power 108) – Dublin, GA – 8/20/98

“So many hits, so little time…Power 108!”

Power 108 was a fun, uptempo small market station, offering a Mainstream CHR format with a few early 90’s dance/pop classics thrown in as well.

That’s pretty much all I can say about this station – does anyone else have additional information (i.e. when it debuted, when it changed to a different format, etc?)

  1. The station is now 107.9 The Buzz playing Classic Rock. The imaging sounds like it was done by Cleveland’s Rick Michaels (Rick worked at the late WPHR, where the TM Century “Dallas Power” jingle came from).

  2. Does anyone have a full unscoped aircheck of this station or this clip, I would love a copy if so.

  3. Judging from its Wikipedia page, it adopted the WDBN callsign in October 1991, where it was known as WIML. They went on the 107.5 frequency in August 1985 and changed frequencies to 107.9 in December 2008. In May 2013, it changed from Classic Rock to Urban as 107.9 Jamz. The Buzz moved to AM 1330 WMLT.
